My NEW Floor!!!!!

Finally Jason got my living room floor done! I have wanted laminate flooring in this room since we moved in this house three years ago. I cannot believe how gross carpeting is. When they were ripping the carpet up, the dirt and sand that was falling out was amazing it looked like I never vacuumed this house, when I vacuum every day. Then when they took the pad up, the san that was under that was amazing. I have pictures of that. The next day they put up the molding around the doors and the trim at the bottom of the walls. It looks like a new house. I love it. Now I just need to find a rug I like to put in the middle so Shelby has something to crawl around on.

I have Jason finally convinced to get rid of all the carpet in the house. We now are going to do Emma's room on Saturday.

Garden finished

We finished the garden. Jason and John went and got some top soil and they loaded it in the boxes. Then I went to the store and bought some plants: squash, zuchinni, eggplant, bell peppers, red potatoes, cucumbers, onions, green beans, spinach, lettuce, and white corn (that is not planted yet, Jason needs to make another long box for that).

We really hope that it works this year. The last two years we have got nothing. So we are trying this.

Jason fenced in around the garden to keep the deer and rabbits out, hopefully. That is what ate it last year

Pinewood Derby

Here is the Pinewood Derby. Jason won first place again for two years in a row. Lets see how he does when he goes to the stake on the 10th.

Garden boxes or Cemetery plots? (you tell me)

Jason made these wonderful garden boxes out of the old fence that was at Johns (PopPop's) house that he took down. he lined them with the black plastic/fabric so the weeds do not come up. We are going to get some top soil to put i them to plant the garden and hope, crossing our fingers, that we will be able to get something out of it this year.

So, we put them over the old garden and put more plastic on the ground in between the boxes so that the grass does not grow up there. That's what Jason's doing in the picture. As he was doing this he looked up and said.... Now we have our cemetery ready.... I thought that was funny so I took a picture so that everyone can see.

Then I put Jason in one of the boxes and took a picture of it..

We were outside and I thought I would snap some pictures of the kids. Shelby loves to swing in her swing that Daddy got her from the Habitat for humanity store for $7! You can get some deals there. Jason and Emma are jumping on the trampoline. it's hard to get pictures through the little opening in it and then not bounce yourself while your leaning into the trampoline to get the pictures. whew! There are a couple of pictures of Mat and Rollie laying in the shade.

Hannah's mom, one of Emma's friends took these pictures at the birthday party and gave them to me. And I just downloaded the collage thingy, so I wanted to play around with it. So here it is.
